Jade Amez

Jade Amez is an Asian-American children’s book author. She published her children’s book, Where Am I From? (2024), about her adoption journey. Jade is an international, infant adoptee from Taiwan, adopted into an interracial and intergenerational family. Adoption is complex and full of nuances. Her book explores the literal and figurative questions some people may struggle with. It also examines the similarities and differences within cultures, families and individuals. Through Jade's story, you can build empathy, reflect on your own journey, expand your understanding of adoption, and empower yourself to take pride in who you are, what makes up who you are - not letting where you're born or where you live define you. Currently, Jade lives in St Paul, and she is always on the lookout for new dumpling restaurants.
